Happy Wednesday!!
Today it’s all about the baby My sister needed a baby gift to give a friend, so guess who she called?? (I’m glad you did, Jos!) This was another super fun project!!
I am entering this project, along with the card I’m showing you today, in the JUGS Design Team contest. There are lots of awesome entries, you should check them out!
So, here’s to baby!…
Isn’t that fun?! I love coordinating items! What do you think about the bow? I made it using SU! ribbon. I used the Around Town Tote template from Papertrey Ink to make the bag. I didn’t have a template for the box.
For the second part of the JUGS contest, we are supposed to create card based on this sketch:
My take on this sketch is very nontraditional. If you look closely, all the elements are there!
Isn’t it so cute and girlie!! I found a dress template online, but couldn’t find a PDF for it, so I sketched out this one. The scallops were made using decorative scissors. Around the neck, I used liquid applique to “dot” a necklace. The bottom half is embossed with CB’s Divine Swirl EF, then inked with VersaMark Dazzle. To make the flower, I used Spellbinders Blossom Nesties to cut out the shapes. Then I crumpled them up several times, layered them, and attached a button. To get shimmer, I spritzed them with SU!’s new Vanilla Smooch Sptritz (which I already LoVe!).
Thanks for stopping by!
Have a wonderful day
Lori

Wow–what a great baby set. Everything is beautiful, especially the card.
This is beautiful! Can’t say it makes me want to have a baby girl again, but it does make me want to at least go to the shower…heck if the invites are this amazing, I can only imagine what the rest of the shower is like!!!
The gift set is oh so pretty in pink! What a beautiful ensemble & I love your take on the sketch! Very creative
Thanks for entering the JUGS DT call
Lori this set makes me want to have a baby again! LOL Or maybe just case it for the next shower I go to. What an absolutely precious gift set – sure to be a HIT! The dress card is divine! Thanks for your interest in JUGS.
Oh my gosh! What an adorable little set and the card is oh so cute!! GREAT JOB!! (I might have to ‘borrow’ some of the ideas!)
First of all let me start by saying that I absolutely LOVE your blog. You are so creative! This baby set and card are some of your best work yet! Do you have an etsy store???? If not, you should. :0) Thank you for sharing! Good luck with the JUGS competition.
So So Sweet! I love this.
I’d Love to see just how you turn those little socks into cupcakes. This is so sweet. It would be great to see what you would do for a Boy.
