Are you gearing up for another school year? We are trying to. Part of me is excited…back to a routine (I think routine is my middle name, he-he!). However, the bigger part of me is not ready. My babies are growing up! My oldest will be in first grade and my triplets in preschool (sniff, sniff)! I know we’ll all adjust.
In case you don’t know, I LOVE crafty challenges. The card I’m showing you today was definitely a great challenge A friend asked me to make her a Star Wars card for a 6 year old. First of all, I must apologize to all you Star Wars fans. I have NEVER watched a Star Wars movie, and don’t plan to. After searching it on the web, I discovered that all this time I was right…it’s not for me. I guess if my son grows to love Star Wars, his dad can be his fellow Jedi Knight! Anyway, back to the card…after looking up multiple characters, I decided to feature R2-D2. What a cute robot.
I don’t have any Star Wars stamps, so I printed this image from the WEB onto some WW cardstock. I also created and printed the sentiment with my computer. The wavy border was made using an EK Success border punch. If you look close, you can see the Night of Navy layer is dry embossed with a QuicKutz Lines and Dots embossing folder. I added the wire as a fun embelishment representing the wiring on R2-D2. Once again I showed this card to my hubby and he had no clue what the wire was doing there. Hmmm.
Thanks for checking in!
