Mother’s Day Flowers

Good Wednesday Morning!

Today I have a great project for you to do with your kids for grandma, a special friend, or yourself!  They are also a great way to use up the extra Easter grass and candy you still have lingering around the house!  I had Lizzy’s class make these for their mom’s at their Easter party.  I think they would work for any occasion.  I know I would love getting one from my kids anytime!!

I made the one on the right and my daughter made the one on the left:

Flower in pot 2 (Large)

We got this idea from Family Fun’s website.  I changed it up a little, but the idea is the same.  I bought small terra cotta pots from our local craft store and painted them with acrylic paint then added dots with a sponge dauber.  Once they dried I sprayed a glossy sealer over them.  The stem is a wooden skewer that I hot glued in the pot and to the flower.  We drew the flower with glitter glue on foam sheets then cut it out once it dried.  The flower center is just a foam circle with a peppermint patty in the center.  The pots are filled with Easter grass and candy eggs.  Aren’t they fun?!

Have a great day!
