Cards for the Boys

Hi :-)

I did it.  I finished my Father’s Day cards on time!  I have two to show you today.  The first card is the one I made for my Father-in-Law, and the second one I made for my DH.

Joe Father's Day 08 (Large)

The stamp is from SU! Noble Deer set.  I stamped the deer in Basic Brown, colored it with SU! Watercolor Wonder Crayons, then blended with my blender pen.  I placed this layer on dimensionals.  I stamped the mellow moss layer with pine trees (another stamp out of that set).  I used American Traditional Designs Woodlands DP.  I think it coodinates with this stamp set really well.

This is the card the Kids and I gave to my DH.  It is his favorite card I’ve made so far…no doubt why! :-)

Tim Father's Day 08 (Large)

This was a really fun card to make.  I took some pictures of our kids and turned them to black and white in Photoshop Elements.  Handsom Hunter complimented the photos the best, so I chose that for my card base.  I used my Cuttlebug Hippie Chick Alphabet dies for the letters.  I cut one green and one white for each letter and offset them.  I used my Marvy Giga Square Punch to cut the squares for the photos.  For a little extra detail, I paper pierced between the photos and in the top right corner.  This card is huge.  It measures 7″ wide by 9″ tall!

Have a great week!
