How are you today? Things are pretty good here. It is so quiet here right now…all 4 kids are napping They are tired from our busy morning. I finished my card that I want to show you today, washed all our laundry, drove to town and dried our laundry at the Laundromat…busy. Guess what?!? This is the LAST time I have to dry my laundry somewhere else. I am getting a new dryer Saturday!! After the appliance repair company called and informed me my parts were on back order and the earliest possible day they could come fix my dryer would be March 12, my DH got on the phone with Sears. To make a very long story short, Sears is going to replace my dryer. Yea!
I made this card for my very dear neighbor who has been drying most of my laundry for me. A few days ago she came down with a bad cold. I have been waiting for an opportunity to use this stamp (not that I would wish anyone to get sick!). So, I made her this card plus a few extras because I know a couple of you aren’t feeling well either 😉 You better check your mail box!
Sometimes I get stuck and can’t seem to make certain colors or a specific layout work for me. Yesterday I was stuck with this card. I almost scratched the whole idea and started over. I decided to leave it alone and try again today. I’m not sure what happened overnight, but this morning I worked it out easily! This card is pretty straight forward. I used SU! markers to color the image. One thing you can’t see from the picture is the shine and texture on the drop of medicine. I used a clear Gelly Roll Glaze Pen on top of the perfect plum (SU!) medicine drop. The Gelly Roll Glaze Pens give you raised writing that looks like it has been heat embossed. They are really fun!
Thanks for stopping by!
