My Triplets Turned 4!!

7 Thoughts

Hello :-)

I hope you are all enjoying your weekend.  This is a much slower-paced weekend than last for us!  Our triplets turned 4 last weekend!!  I can’t believe they are growing up so fast!  We had a very busy, fun day full of birthdays!  I like to make their birthday special and individual for each of them.  I let each of them choose their “theme” and I made cakes and cards to match.  Carli chose Barbie/Princess, Haily loves Dora, and Drew wanted no other than Spiderman!  Here are some pictures of the cakes and cards.  THANKS Mom and Josie for helping me with everything!  You’re wonderful :-)

My kids LOVED their cards and cakes.  I was one busy lady trying to plan, bake, stamp, decorate, etc. to make everything special for their birthday.  I wanted this day to be great for them, and it was!  I would do it all again in a heartbeat!  It was a little challenging for me switching gears from Spiderman to Dora to Princess and back again, but it worked!  It really was fun.  I think the best part was watching the look on their faces when they first saw their cakes.  They were so excited.  My kiddos are AWESOME!  I have to tell you how proud I am of their big sister too.  It is a lot for her to watch her brother and sisters be the center of attention and her not feel left out.  She handled it so good.  She was a very caring, loving sister who didn’t show the least bit of jealousy.  She had her special jobs to do though.  One job was helping with the cakes, which was exciting made her feel very grown up.  Her time is coming…she turns six in two weeks!

About the cards…
The princess image is a Disney stamp.  I colored it with my blender pen and ink pads.  I couldn’t find Dora or Spiderman stamps, so I used rub-ons.  The rub-ons were awesome!  They are so easy to use.  For the sentiments, I made them using Word on my computer, printed them on cardstock, and punched them using word window punches.  All the images are on dimensionals, which is always hard to see in the picture.

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great Sunday :-)

Hello :-)

Gee, I haven’t posted for so long.  We have been pretty busy.  One of my girls had her tonsils taken out last week.  It has been a tough week.  I still have my tonsils, so this is my first experience with a tonsillectomy.  After surgery, day one and two are pretty good.  Every day after that gets progressively worse, up until day 7 or 8.  We are still waiting for things to get better and it’s day 8.  It has been very painful for her.  I haven’t even tried to stamp during this…she needs extra special attention.  Bless her heart, she’s only 3!

A very good friend of ours sent my daughter a cookie bouquet after surgery.  She felt sooo special when this was waiting for her when we got back to the hotel.  Go to Cookies By Design to see their amazing work.  The cookies are adorable and delicious!

Our Weekend Project

Hey :-)

I hope you all had a great weekend.  We had a busy one.   This was our weekend project.  Doesn’t it look great?!

We have been looking at this club house for our kids for at least a year and finally decided to get one.  It comes in five very large boxes and a book of instructions, literally a book.  It is pretty intensive to put together, but we did it!  Our kids LOVE it!  I have to admit I love playing with the kids in it too!

I hope to get time to stamp this week!  I do have a few cards to share with you that I haven’t posted yet.  I will post one tomorrow.  Have a good rest of the day :-)

Hi!

It has been quite a week!  My DH has been very sick since Thursday (a week ago).  The doctor thought he had Influenza, but it turns out he has a real bad strain of Strep Throat.  I had been fighting off a cold, which our 4 kids all have too, and was winning until I got the sore throat!  The doctor put me on antibiotics right away.  I am doing much better already.  However, my DH is still under the weather.  He is going to attempt work today.  I just sneaked in and turned his alarm off so he can sleep longer.  He hasn’t been able to sleep for several days.  He has slept well tonight.  I, on the other hand, have been up since 3:30 am.  He snores really bad with this throat junk so it keeps me awake!!  Oh well, it is giving me a chance to catch up on my blogging in peace and quiet :-)

Since we converted our triplets’ cribs to toddler beds, I haven’t been able to find blankets that fit.  Crib blankets are too small and twin blankets are too big.  While we were at WalMart last weekend I let each of them pick out material for me to make them their own blankets.  Long ago were the days of getting the girls matching things…they are 3 1/2 now and each have their own style and color preference!  It is fun watching each of them become their own person.  I have been working on their blankets this week instead of stamping (I can’t wait to get back in my stamping room!).  It has been fun sewing for the kids though.  The best part is their excitement!  They think I am the best, most talented mom in the world (I’m enjoying this because I’m sure it will all change when they hit their teenage years!)!

Here are their new blankets:

Drew’s, obviously :-)  He LOVES trucks!!

I am going to clean house today.  Hopefully I can stamp again tomorrow!

Have a great day :-)

Hello :-)

Well I had big plans to stamp a lot this week.  Between house cleaning, school and errands, Monday through Wednesday were shot.  Last night my son spiked a fever of 103 degrees along with a sore throat.  He is still fevered today with a sore throat and he vomited last night.  Poor baby.  So, we are headed to the pediatrician this afternoon.  By the time we get home it will be dinner time (we doctor in another town).  I hope I will have time to stamp tomorrow!

I hope you have a good day.  Talk to ya soon,
Lori

Whew…I did it!

Hi! So this is it, day 1 of blogging. I have learned a lot these last few days trying to start a blog! I really enjoy reading blogs and looking at creative work (especially cards!) so I thought it’s time to share some of my own work with you all. I will be uploading a card for you to see soon. Have a great afternoon!
