Huge Pencil Teacher Gift

3 Thoughts

Hello!

Today I have super cute, fun teacher gift to show you (and a coordinating card of course!).  This is the first one I’ve made, but I have more on my “to do” list!!  Check it out…

Isn’t this fun?!!  You can get the template for the pencil HERE.  I put my spin on the pencil by adding the metal and eraser.  I LoVe it!

For the card, I stamped the apple, embossed it using clear ep, and cut it out.  Do you see the embossed lines in the background?  I used the Sizzix Notebook ef.  It was exactly what I needed!

To get more 3-D inspiration, visit the JUGS blog.  This week is a template challenge.  There are some very talented ladies.  Join in the fun!

Have a wonderful day!

Gifts for Baby

7 Thoughts

Happy Wednesday!!

Today it’s all about the baby :-)  My sister needed a baby gift to give a friend, so guess who she called?? (I’m glad you did, Jos!)  This was another super fun project!!

I am entering this project, along with the card I’m showing you today, in the JUGS Design Team contest.  There are lots of awesome entries,  you should check them out!

So, here’s to baby!…

Isn’t that fun?!  I love coordinating items!  What do you think about the bow?  I made it using SU! ribbon.  I used the Around Town Tote template from Papertrey Ink to make the bag.  I didn’t have a template for the box.

For the second part of the JUGS contest, we are supposed to create card based on this sketch:

My take on this sketch is very nontraditional.  If you look closely, all the elements are there!

Isn’t it so cute and girlie!!  I found a dress template online, but couldn’t find a PDF for it, so I sketched out this one.  The scallops were made using decorative scissors.  Around the neck, I used liquid applique to “dot” a necklace.  The bottom half is embossed with CB’s Divine Swirl EF, then inked with VersaMark Dazzle.  To make the flower, I used Spellbinders Blossom Nesties to cut out the shapes.  Then I crumpled them up several times, layered them, and attached a button.  To get shimmer, I spritzed them with SU!’s new Vanilla Smooch Sptritz (which I already LoVe!).

Thanks for stopping by!

Have a wonderful day :-)

Baby Gifts…wrap ’em up!

Hi :-)

I can’t believe our weekend is almost over!  Oh well.  I hope you had a good one :-)

I have a baby gift to show you today.  I make hooded baby towels and have them embroidered with the baby’s name.  Along with this, I made baby sock cupcakes.  I used another one of Lauren Meader’s templates, Ready, Set, Wrap (Papertrey Ink), to “wrap” the cupcakes…

I hope she likes it!  Check out more creations using Lauren’s templates at the JUG’S blog!

Have a wonderful Sunday evening!

Lovin’ Boxes!

Happy Saturday!

I’m excited to show you what I’ve been up to.  I have been making boxes to demo at our local MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) meeting.  I ended up with a total of five boxes.  I will show you my favorite one first…

My fav:
Pack a picnic Red 1(Large)

Pack a picnic Red 2 (Large)

Pack a picnic Red 3 (Large)

The rest…
Pack a picnic Pink 1(Large)

Pack a picnic Pink 2 (Large)

Pack a picnic Pink 3 (Large)

Pack a picnic Baja 1(Large)

Pack a picnic Baja 2 (Large)

Pack a picnic Baja 3 (Large)

I modified the template to make a rectangle box…
Pack a picnic MOD Rose 1 (Large)

Pack a picnic MOD Rose 2 (Large)

Pack a picnic MOD Rose 3 (Large)

Pack a picnic MOD Artichoke 1 (Large)

Pack a picnic MOD Artichoke 2 (Large)

Pack a picnic MOD Artichoke 3 (Large)

Whew!  I know this is a lot for one post. :-)  I’m going to keep this summary as brief as possible.  The Pack a Picnic template is by Lauren Meader, and can be purchased at Papertrey Ink.  I modified her template to make the square boxes.  Don’t they look like a recipe box?

The edges under the lids were cut using SU! and Martha Stewart border punches.  The decorations on the lids were made using punches, Nestabilities, and the SU! Clear Flower Die.  SU! buttons and stickles were also used.

So, which box is your favorite??

If you have any questions, please ask!  :-)

Have a wonderful weekend!

Good Friday Morning!!

I just bought this adorable stamp set from Papertrey Ink, Scattered Showers.  I couldn’t wait to get it inky!  I have a couple friends who are facing difficult situations, so it was perfect!

Don't Fret Dearie MOJO95 (Large)

I stamped the umbrella on Riding Hood Red DP and Riding Hood Red CS, cut out the sections and paper pieced them on my WW umbrella.  The sentiment is punched with my new SU! Modern Label Punch.  I used the CB Swiss Dots embossing folder on the Riding Hood Red CS for added dimension.  Of course, I have dimensionals under the panel with the sentiment, the umbrella layer, and under the flower :-)

Have a fun, safe weekend!
