MTMEPPC11 Teacher Card

3 Thoughts

Happy Memorial Weekend!

I hope you are enjoying your weekend!  We had {almost} a full day of baseball today.  We have one Rookie and three T-ballers in our house.  It was fun!  :-)

This week’s My Time Made Easy Pretty Palette Challenge is:

MTMEPPC11

I’m a little behind on end of the year teacher gifts and cards, so I decided to use this palette to make some teacher cards!  Here’s what I came up with:

MTMEPPC11 Teacher Card (Large)

This digi stamp is perfect for a teacher.  It’s part of MTME’s Sensational set.  I used punches and dies to cut the flower, butterfly and flourish.  The white layer is embossed with my Rings embossing folder.

Be sure to check out the rest of the MTME Pretty Palette Team’s creations!!

I hope you play along with us this week!

Have a fantastic weekend!

Hello :-)

It’s hard to believe this school year is ending!  I’m ready for summer, but I’m not ready for my kids to grow up this fast!  This fall, all our kiddos will be in full-day school (sniff, sniff).  It’s a good thing I get to soak them up all summer!!!

Today’s card is great for a new graduate, or anyone making a change in their life (such as a new job…hint, hint, Jos!).

Chase your dreams CP116 JUGS85 (Large)

I LoVe this girl!  She’s from MTME Chase Your Dreams.  I had a lot of fun playing with her in Adobe Photoshop.  If you click on the image, you’ll be able to see the coloring better.  I overlayed patterns on top of colors to create different textures.  I’m loving digi’s!!

The shapes were all cut using Nestabilities and my Big Shot.  The blue “sky” was also embossed using Quickutz Polkadots embossing folder.  The “grass” was fringed using some super-cool fringing scissors I picked up at WalMart!   For the sentiment, I cut it with a Spellbinder’s Tags 5 die.

I also participated in this week’s Just Us Girls Color Challenge JUGS85.

Have a wonderful day!

Hello :-)

I’m excited to show you my card today, it was a fun one!!  I try to think “out of the box” with my hubby.  He always appreciates my creations, crazy or not (or at least he knows what he’s supposed to say, hehe!)!

Today’s My Time Made Easy Pretty Palette colors were perfect!  Try them out and show us your creation here!

MTMEPPC10

I used Card Patterns sketch 115.

For my hubby, who is a fantastic daddy, and loves to play golf…
MTMEPPC10 Father's Day 11 Tim (Large)

Isn’t it fun?!  I made the golf ball with scallop circle nesties and a polka dot embossing folder.  I sponged the edges and surface in Garden Green and Close to Cocoa to give it a used look.  The flags represent the flags at each hole.  I cut ribbon, wrote numbers on them and attached a thin piece of cs.  The grass was cut using a grass die and my Big Shot.  I hand cut a golf tee and laid it in the grass.  What about that sentiment?!  It is one (of many) in the newly released For Dad stamp set from MTME.  I love so many of the sentiments in this Father’s Day set.  I had a hard time choosing which one to use :-)

Hi!

It’s time for another fabulous Pretty Palette challenge, MTMEPPC09!!

MTMEPPC09

I love these colors!!!  I decided to go with black & white main colors, and add a pop of pink…

MTMEPPC09 Pink Bloom (Large)

Isn’t this flower amazing?!  It is a digi from MTME’s April release Bee-Loved.  The sentiment is part of the Bee-Loved Sentiments set.  I thought Love Notes digi patterned paper was a perfect complement to the flower and sentiment!  I used seam binding for the bow.

This sketch is from Lizzie Ann Designs LAD64.

Weaving…Cherry Pie Anyone?

11 Thoughts

Hi!

I’m SO happy it’s Friday!  I’m in desperate need of some down time this weekend!  I hope we all get sunny weather :-)

Our Creative Corner is having a fun challenge this week…The Wonder of Weaving.  Although I’m a rookie when it comes to weaving, I wanted to play along!  I came up with a delicious idea…

OCCC Weaving Cherry Pie b (Large)

OCCC Weaving Cherry Pie c (Large)

Cherry pie anyone?  I really love the woven “pie crust” top!  It is Crumb Cake cs, inked with Close to Cocoa to give it the browned look.  I cut out the cherry free hand.  It’s hard to see in the pics, but the cherry pie filling is embossed with my Tiny Bubbles CB embossing folder.  The sentiment is from Verve’s Circular Sayings.

Tulips…for Me?!!

Happy Mother’s Day!!

I hope you are having a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend!  Our kids are at such fun ages…3 are 6, one is 8. They are so excited to “celebrate” me tomorrow (I think this came from school…thanks teachers!).  They have their handmade gifts hidden away for tomorrow.  I love it!

It’s time for another My Time Made Easy Pretty Palette MTMEPP08:
MTMEPPC08

I love these colors!  Did you see the new MTME release this month?  You can see it HERE.  I fell in love with the Tender Tulip.  The combo of tulips and these colors only meant one thing…Happy Mother’s Day to ME!  A bouquet of tulips (my hubby doesn’t like to give me flowers because they are expensive and die too quickly; he prefers giving more practical, useful gifts!)!

MTMEPPC08 tulips a (Large)

MTMEPPC08 tulips b (Large)

Aren’t they awesome?!  I tell you, Lauren is a crafting genius!  I LOVE her templates and cut files!  The vase is made out of her To Go template and Darling Dots digi paper.  For the stems, I cut strips of celery cs 1 inch wide, 11 inches long, then scored them at 1/4, 1/2 and 3/4 inches.  From this, I folded them in a triangle shape and glued them.  Stems are hot glued to each tulip.  Once the tulips were assembled, I cut their stems to various lengths for the bouquet.

Hi!

I hope you are enjoying your weekend!  It’s time for another MTME Pretty Palette Challenge!  Check out this week’s colors:

MTMEPPC07

I knew I wanted to do something “coffee shop” with these.  Here’s what I came up with:

MTMEPPC07 Cup of Happiness (Large)

MTMEPPC07 Cup of Happiness b (Large)

MTMEPPC07 Cup of Happiness c (Large)

I love the roof.  It makes me feel like there’s a table for two inside!  MTME’s Warm Serenity digi paper was perfect for my coffee shop!  The cups and sentiment are part of the Grab a Cup digital stamp set.  For the cups, I turned the digi paper to an angle (in Photoshop Elements), then overlayed the cups.  Once printed, I cut them out.  It’s so fun to play with digi’s!
